NSW rule: using sirens
A driver, rider or passenger must not, while in or on a vehicle, use a device to make a sound like the sound of a siren.This rule does not apply if—the vehicle is a police vehicle or an emergency vehicle, orthe vehicle is approved by the Authority to use the device for a purpose approved by the Authority, orthe vehicle is being used by the Authority, or a police officer, for law enforcement purposes.Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.and are defined in the Dictionary.This rule is an additional NSW road rule. There is no corresponding rule in the Australian Road Rules.
