Carrying out demolition work
An employer must ensure that, if mechanical means are used to carry out demolition work, the work is carried out sequentially.An employer must ensure that demolition work involving pulling with ropes or chains or similar means is carried out only if the building being demolished is not more than 4 metres in height and the work is carried out sequentially.Maximum penalty: Level 4.See Chapter 11 regarding the issue of permits for the carrying out of certain demolition work.
