165 Panel of assessors
(cf 1990 Act, s 282)
(1) The Minister must, from time to time, nominate in writing to the Chief Justice a panel of persons who, in the opinion of the Minister, have appropriate qualifications and sufficient experience to act as assessors in the hearing of appeals by the Court under this Chapter or the Mental Health (Forensic Provisions) Act 1990.(2) A nomination made under this section is to be accompanied by an oath taken by the person nominated, in the form prescribed by the regulations.(3) Sections 11, 11A and 12 of the Oaths Act 1900 apply to and in respect of an oath required to be taken under this section as if the oath were an oath required to be taken under Part 2 of that Act.
