4.7.2002.

ForExplanatory note
This Regulation repeals the Justices (Short Descriptions of Motor Traffic and Other Offences) Regulation 1986 as a consequence of its having been superseded by regulations under the Roads Act 1993 and the Traffic Act 1909.
This Regulation is made under the Justices Act 1902, including sections 145B and 154 (the general regulation-making power).
This Regulation is made in connection with the staged repeal of subordinate legislation under the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989.
This Regulation is the Justices (Motor Traffic and Other Offences) (Repeal, Savings and Transitional) Regulation 1999.
This Regulation commences on 1 September 1999.
The Justices (Short Descriptions of Motor Traffic and Other Offences) Regulation 1986 is repealed.
(1) This clause applies to any document (being an information, complaint, summons, warrant, notice, order or other document that relates to an offence alleged to have been committed before the repeal of the Justices (Short Descriptions of Motor Traffic and Other Offences) Regulation 1986), and so applies whether the document was issued, given or made before or after that repeal.(2) The repeal of the Justices (Short Descriptions of Motor Traffic and Other Offences) Regulation 1986 does not affect the validity of any document to which this clause applies in which an expression that was prescribed by that Regulation, as in force immediately before its repeal, is used.
The explanatory note and table of contents do not form part of this Regulation.
