This Regulation is the Parramatta Park Trust Transitional Regulation 2001.
This Regulation commences on 1 July 2001.
(1) In this Regulation:applied provisions means the following provisions:
(a) sections 157–160 of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974,(b) Divisions 1–3 of Part 2 and Part 6 (except clauses 40 (b) and 48) of the National Parks and Wildlife (Land Management) Regulation 1995,(c) clause 3 of, and Schedule 1 to, that Regulation (to the extent that they relate to provisions referred to in paragraph (b)).Parramatta Park means the principal trust lands.
(2) If the National Parks and Wildlife (Land Management) Regulation 1995 is repealed under the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989, a reference in this Regulation to a provision of the National Parks and Wildlife (Land Management) Regulation 1995 is taken to be a reference to a corresponding provision of any Regulation that replaces that Regulation.
The explanatory note and table of contents do not form part of this Regulation.
5 Application of applied provisions
(1) The applied provisions continue to apply to Parramatta Park, subject to the modifications set out in subclause (2), as if Parramatta Park continued to be reserved as a regional park under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.(2) In the applied provisions:(a) a reference to the Director-General includes a reference to the Trust, and(b) a reference to a park is a reference to Parramatta Park, and(c) a reference to a park authority is a reference to the Parramatta Park Trust, and(d) a reference to an officer of the Service or an authorised officer includes an authorised officer within the meaning of section 3 (1) of the Parramatta Park Trust Act 2001.
6 Regulation ceases to have effect
This Regulation ceases to have effect on 1 April 2002.
