20 Dual occupancy
(1) Where development for the purposes of a dwelling-house may be
carried out on an allotment of land to which this plan applies, a person may,
with development consent, erect a dual occupancy
building.
(2) The Council shall not grant consent to the erection of a dual
occupancy building, or the alteration of, or addition to, an existing
dwelling-house so as to create a dual occupancy building, unless arrangements
satisfactory to the Council have been made for the provision of a water supply
to, and the disposal of sewage and stormwater drainage from, the
land.
(3) The Council may, in granting consent to the carrying out of
development on land for the purpose of a dual occupancy building, impose a
condition requiring the owner of the land to occupy one of the dwellings
thereby created.
