(1) The Authority may waive (whether wholly or in part) the payment of a fee payable under the Act or this Regulation, or both, in a particular case if the Authority is of the opinion that in the particular case it is appropriate to do so.(2) Without limiting subclause (1), the Authority may:(a) waive payment of a fee in relation to a learner licence if the applicant is, when making the application, the holder of a learner licence issued by another jurisdiction, or(b) waive payment of part of any fee payable for the renewal of a driver licence (other than a provisional licence or learner licence) by an amount not exceeding 50 per cent of that fee.
