6.20   Special purpose zones—fishing

For the purposes of clause 1.23 of this Regulation, a person must not take or attempt to take fish in a special purpose zone unless the taking of that species of fish by the method used is permitted in a zone that adjoins the special purpose zone concerned.
Note. Clause 1.23 of this Regulation creates an offence of taking or attempting to take fish in a special purpose zone in contravention of the zoning plan for a marine park. However, a person may obtain the consent of the relevant Ministers to take or attempt to take fish.
