This Order is the Public Sector Management (General) Amendment Order 1999.
This Order is taken to have commenced on 8 April 1999.
3 Amendment of Public Sector Management (General) Order 1999
The Public Sector Management (General) Order 1999 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.
(Clause 3)
[1] Clause 4 Construction of references to Minister for Ethnic Affairs
Omit “affairs”. Insert instead “Affairs”.
[2] Clause 11 Abolition of Ministry for Forests and Marine Administration and transfer of branches
Omit clause 11 (1). Insert instead:(1) The Forestry Structural Adjustment Unit and the Office of Western Sydney are removed from the Ministry for Forests and Marine Administration and added to the Department of Information Technology and Management.
[3] Clause 16 Abolition of Valuer-General’s Department and transfer of branches
Omit clause 16 (1).
Omit “other”.
[5] Clause 17 Transfer of certain branches
Omit clause 17 (1). Insert instead:(1) The following branches are removed from the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning and added to the Department of Housing:• Housing Assistance Branch• Housing Data and Analysis Service• Office of Community Housing
Insert after clause 17 (3):(4) The group of staff attached to the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust are removed from the National Parks and Wildlife Service and added to the Premier’s Department.(5) The State Valuation Office is removed from the Department of Land and Water Conservation and added to the Department of Public Works and Services.
Insert after clause 17:17A Construction of certain references relating to the Office of Community Housing
(1) The reference to the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning in paragraph (c) of the definition of “social housing provider” in section 3 of the Residential Tenancies Act 1987 is to be construed as a reference to the Department of Housing.(2) A reference in any other document to the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning is, if the reference is used in relation to the Office of Community Housing, to be construed as a reference to the Department of Housing.
