This Order may be cited as the Administrative Changes (Public Works) Order (No 2) 1995.
2 Construction of certain references in Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Act 1956
(1) A reference in the following provisions of the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Act 1956 to the Minister for Public Works is to construed as a reference to the Minister for Land and Water Conservation:• the definition of “Lower river” in section 2 (1)• section 2 (2) and (3)• section 8 (1)• section 31 (3) (b)• section 40 (6) (a)• section 56 (1) (a)• section 58 (1)(2) A reference in section 56 of the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Act 1956 to the Director of Public Works is to be construed as a reference to the Director-General of the Department of Land and Water Conservation.(3) A reference in section 56 of the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Act 1956 to the Department of Public Works is to be construed as a reference to the Department of Land and Water Conservation.

The reference in clause 5 of the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Regulation 1992 (including in the heading to that clause) to the Minister for Public Works is to be construed as a reference to the Minister for Land and Water Conservation.
