7 Hearings
(1) A Commissioner may hold hearings in connection with the Special
Commission.
(2) Where a Commissioner decides to hold a hearing, the hearing shall
take place in public, unless the Commissioner, if satisfied that it is
desirable to do so by reason of the confidential nature of any evidence or
matter or for any other reason, directs that the hearing take place in
private.
(3) Where a Commissioner directs that a hearing to be held by the
Commissioner take place in private, the Commissioner may give directions as to
the persons who may be present at the hearing.
(4) Where, at a hearing by a Commissioner that is held in public, the
Commissioner is satisfied that it is desirable to do so by reason of the
confidential nature of any evidence or matter or for any other reason, the
Commissioner may direct that the hearing or a part of the hearing take place
in private and give directions as to the persons who may be
present.
