Section 130(1) The Minister administering this Act is to review this Act to determine whether the policy objectives of the Act remain valid and whether the terms of the Act remain appropriate for securing those objectives.(1A) The review is to include a consideration of the relationship between this Act and the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998.(2) The Minister is to consult with the Information Commissioner and the Privacy Commissioner on a review under this section and the Information Commissioner and Privacy Commissioner may assist the Minister and provide advice in connection with the review.(3) The review is to be undertaken as soon as possible after the period of 5 years from the date of assent to this Act.(4) A report on the outcome of the review is to be provided to the Minister administering this Act and tabled in each House of Parliament within 12 months after the end of the period of 5 years.
