231 Obstruction of inspectors and authorised persons
(cf former Act s 53 (3))
A person must not:(a) wilfully delay or obstruct an inspector or person whom the Minister authorises for the purposes of a section of this Act in the exercise of the inspector’s or authorised person’s functions under this Act, or(b) fail to comply with a requirement under this Part to produce a document, record or other thing in the person’s possession, custody, or control or to answer a question.Maximum penalty: $22,000.
Note. It is an offence under section 307B of the Crimes Act 1900 to give false or misleading information to a person exercising a power, authority or duty under, or in connection with, a law of the State.
