144 Investigation of complaints
(1) Complaints that under this Division the Commissioner is authorised
or required to investigate are to be investigated in accordance with this
(2) The powers of the Commissioner to cause a complaint to be
investigated include the power to cause any action to be taken to resolve the
complaint in the manner that the Commissioner thinks fit, subject to this Act
or any other law.
(3) Without limiting subsection (2), a person conducting an
investigation may attempt to resolve a complaint by means of alternative
dispute management procedures.
