14   When reporting obligations begin

For the purposes of this Act, a registrable person’s reporting obligations in respect of a registrable offence begin:

(a)  when the person is sentenced for the offence, or

(b)  when the person ceases to be in government custody in relation to the offence,

whichever is the later.
