15   General functions

(1)  The SCA has and may exercise the functions conferred or imposed on it by or under this or any other Act.
(2)  The SCA has the primary function of protecting the quality and quantity of water in catchment areas.
(3)  The SCA cannot employ any staff.
Note. Staff may be employed under Chapter 1A of the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 2002 in the Government Service to enable the SCA to exercise its functions.
