2   Commencement

(1)  Part 1, Divisions 1 and 4 of Part 2, section 34 and Division 5 of Part 3 shall be deemed to have commenced on 1 July 1983.

(2)  Except as provided by subsection (1), this Act shall commence on such day as may be appointed by the Governor in respect thereof and as may be notified by proclamation published in the Gazette.
