27F Appointment of inspectors
(1) The Corporation may authorise a person to carry out inspections
for the purposes of this Part.
(2) The Corporation must provide an inspector with a certificate of
the inspector’s authority.
(3) An inspector, in exercising in any place any function conferred or
imposed under this Part, must, if so required by a person apparently in charge
of that place, produce the certificate of authority to that
person.
(4) An investigator appointed under section 18 of the Fair Trading Act 1987 is taken to be
a person authorised under subsection (1), but only to the extent to which the
exercise of the person’s power relates to, or arises because of,
electrical articles or electrical installations.
