(1) The Board is made up of the following people appointed by the Minister:(a) the Chairperson of the Board (who is not to be an officer of the Department), and(b) 2 employer representatives selected from a panel of 4 submitted to the Minister by a body or bodies representing employers, and(c) 2 employee representatives selected from a panel of 4 submitted to the Minister by a body or bodies representing employees, and(d) between 2 and 4 persons who have expertise in the development and assessment of competence or people performing functions at coal operations, and(e) 2 officers of the Department.(2) The regulations may make provision for or with respect to the submission of representatives under this section and the appointment of members of the Board.
