Part 1 Preliminary

1   Name of Act

This Act is the Water Industry Competition Act 2006.

2   Commencement

This Act commences on a day or days to be appointed by proclamation.

3   Definitions

(1)  Words and expressions that are defined in the Dictionary at the end of this Act have the meanings set out in that Dictionary.

(2)  Notes included in this Act do not form part of this Act.

4   Act binds Crown

This Act binds the Crown in right of New South Wales and, in so far as the legislative power of Parliament permits, the Crown in all its other capacities.
