54 Issue of notice to produce documents
(1) An eligible issuing officer to whom an application for a notice to produce documents is made may issue a notice to produce documents if satisfied that there are reasonable grounds for suspecting that:(a) the authorised deposit-taking institution holds documents that may be connected with an offence, and(b) the institution is not a party to the offence.(2) The eligible issuing officer may, in the notice, specify that the documents are to be produced to a police officer within a stated time and at a stated place and in a stated form (whether electronic or otherwise).(3) A police officer must give the notice to the authorised deposit-taking institution named in the notice as soon as reasonably practicable after it is issued.
