20 Birth siblings must be kept together
(1) If a child has any living birth siblings, the Court is to make a parentage order in relation to the child only if the Court also makes or proposes to make a parentage order in relation to each birth sibling, so that the child and all his or her living birth siblings become children of the same applicant or applicants.(2) A birth sibling of a child is any brother or sister of the child who is born as a result of the same pregnancy as the child.(3) However, the Court may make a parentage order, despite non-compliance with subsection (1), if the Court considers it in the best interests of the child to make an order even if the parentage of his or her birth sibling is not transferred to the same applicant or applicants.
